Step 2 — What two axes actually matter?
Reach and conviction. They are independent currencies, and micro-amplifiers are the accounts that hold both.
- Reach — audience size and, more importantly, distribution: does this account's posting actually travel? Normalized so a genuine 4,000-follower account with real engagement outranks a bought 40,000-follower shell.
- Conviction — how the account writes about your domain. Depth, specificity, originality, on-topic focus. This is measured from language, which is why the engine weights linguistic features at 60 percent and vanity metrics at only 40 percent. Language is harder to fake at scale than a follower number.
Plot the real accounts on those two axes and four groups appear — the archetypes. Amplifiers are reach-dominant. Champions are conviction-dominant. Builders carry substance in a different form (they ship, they do not just post). Early Adopters are the timing signal. Step 3 — How do you rank what you find?
Not alphabetically, and not by a single score. The output that makes this usable is a ranked queue answering one question: who deserves attention this week, and why. An Amplifier who just engaged your pinned post ranks above one who went quiet three months ago, even if the quiet one has more followers. Recency, relevance, and archetype combine into an Act Now queue — in the Mintlayer scan, 298 people surfaced as immediate-action out of the 5,806. The goal is not a list of everyone who matters. It is an ordered list of who matters right now, short enough to act on before it goes stale.
Step 4 — Why does verification belong in a "finding" method?
Because a micro-amplifier is only proven by what they do, not by what they score. The score identifies a candidate; the action confirms them. When you activate someone and their post passes Proof Review — it exists, it came from them, it satisfied the ask — you have moved them from "scored high" to "demonstrated." That feedback closes the loop: verified amplifiers inform who you reach next, and the ranking sharpens each scan.
Can you do this by hand?
Partly, and it is worth understanding the manual version because it explains what the engine automates. By hand: pull your follower list, throw out the obvious bots, read through accounts looking for people who post about your space with real knowledge and have an audience that engages them. You will find some. You will also spend days, apply inconsistent judgment, miss the quiet Builders, and have no way to prove your picks to anyone. The method scales because each step is made explicit and repeatable — the filter is deterministic, the axes are measured the same way every time, the ranking is reproducible.
